Another way of saving money on Christmas is to have either a gift-free Christmas, or if there are children around, to only get gifts for them. I’ve been having gift-free Christmases for some years now, and still have a nice meal and enjoy the holidays. Christmas is a lot less stressful without the rush to the malls, and without the credit card bills months later.

Good idea, Chris. I also think that giving of a person’s time is far more meaningful than receiving yet another Rudolph the red nose reindeer flashing underpants holder… :-)

Good tips and advice here. Now…if only some of those awesome deal sites would offer shipping down to South Africa, that would be brilliant. Retailers here tend to screw people over all year long because of the lack of competition for them.

Another way to save a little cash is to do a name exchange, and only purchase ofr 1 or 2 family members instead of every single person down to the dog and bearded dragon!

I agree with Chris. It’s great having a gift free Christmas with no pressure to buy gifts.

We have been working with online shopping since last six years. This website is rather new. But the persons behind have some sort of experience in pricing and deals. I agree with your suggestions. For frugal goers, the best thing is to take advantage of after Christmas deals and off season discounts. Thanks a lot for this informative entry.

    Best Regards,

For those who spend a great deal of money on Christmas outdoor decorations, this is the perfect time to get deals on those roof Santa’s.
