    Hey Kevin-

Thanks for providing tips that are unique – I usually see the same ones over, and over, and over.

I’ve never heard of MyLot, so I’ll have to check it out!

I hope to generate some $ from ads and work into affiliate products. I’d like to create a few free eBooks and then have one for sale (the give a little, get a little approach)

Have you had any success with ebooks?

I’m going to get in the ebook game soon. I’m writing one right now that I plan on selling. I’ve had great success and a lot of positive feedback from my free ecourse though.

I had not heard of mylot either.

I think the internet has opened up so much opportunity for people to make money. You just have to try and often, the start up costs can be quite low.

start up costs are what should get people in the game since it is so low. There’s not really any downside to starting.

I am very new to it but I just switched to the self-hosted website and put up some ads. So far – no results. But it is expected I guess. Alway wanted to try freelancing but don’t have time (between full time job, blogging and life). Great post. Very informative.

You have some good ideas. I don’t know if this is considered a “paid to post” forum, but examiner.com has a lot of different categories you can blog on and get paid as well. It doesn’t pay much, but it is another option for a little bit of extra money.

Did you design the site? I somehow remember it looking different than it does now, but then again I read most posts in my RSS.

Yea I designed everything myself. It took some trial and error. I mostly read from rss too so I know what you mean.

I definitely want to try out affiliate links. I hear people make great money from it, combined with freelancing. Doesn’t hurt to try!

    Hey Kevin,

I have tried my hand at freelance writing, and have posted many articles, but the pay is very low if you don’t get 10K plus hits. The route I am planning to take now is writing an eBook. What’s your take?

    Thanks,
    Steve

That’s a pretty good way. Even writing ebooks for people can be a good earning. The main thing you’re going to want to do is target a niche and set up a web page around the ebook. A good site for creating a living off of ebooks is inkwelleditorial.com. I literally just found this site and a day later the account was suspended due to his other site. This just happened a day or so ago. He runs like an 11 day ebook creating tournament where you go from creating to selling in 11 days with everything in between. It does cost money to enter but you are able to get some good info by just reading the updates. If you want to check out the google cache of the site look here or search for the site in Google if that doesn’t work.

One method that I Do know works is taking surveys for cash. This has been a nice side income for me for about a year now and it is really great. Mostly the surveys are interesting (yes some are boring) and it is cool to see a new product come out that you gave your opinion on months before.
