Get Your Rant On

ranting

Rant (Verb)

1: to talk in a noisy, excited, or declamatory manner

2: to scold vehemently

Every now and then something can really get on your nerves and you just want to yell. I’ve had many of those moment but too many times choose to hold it in.

Apparently it’s not the best thing to do. I’m sure a lot of people have this same issue, so I’m here to help. Let out your anger and frustration below. Don’t hold back on anything.

This may get family unfriendly quickly but that’s ok because some people may highly dislike kids anyway. If you don’t want to read my rants but you want to start ranting right away then just skip to the Your Turn section at the bottom.

Rant 1

Let me start it off. I hate that our government isn’t stepping up for the people and is instead standing up for corporations that will do anything to make a quick buck because the people that make decisions don’t have to live in the same world that they affect. You don’t see a rich neighborhood next to factories do you?

That’s what I have a problem with. It’s not that they are rich, it’s that they get their money by making part of the world worst off than when they started. Is that every rich person? No and I don’t have a problem with them. But if a company gives my representative money to help vote to make my neighborhood worse off just so they can make more money to give that same representative then I have a problem with that.

Rant 2

Oil companies! Can you please allow us to have clean energy? I know it doesn’t make you as much money as you would like but I promise you won’t be broke….unless you choose not to embrace it. It’s the same with industries throughout time. If you don’t innovate then you will die off.

Embrace change and make the world better….it’s not that hard I promise. Just put some more of those oil profits into it and you’ll have it in no time. You’re Welcome!

Rant 3

The Economy! I know there are a lot of people without jobs right now. Whose fault is that? Ours! We created a world that we can not support. We over created way too many of the same thing (houses) that we could not afford to keep up with. We put all of our eggs in 1 basket. Obviously that was a bad call. Manufacturing isn’t where we need to be. People overseas make it a lot cheaper and will eventually make it just as good if not better than we can. What’s going to happen then? Even more job losses. We need to get people away from that and into jobs that actually have a future. The internet is like a whole new world that we should start working more towards. It allows us to barter a lot more effectively and can help bring in a lot of money. So why aren’t more people doing it?

Partly because they don’t know what they can do to make money because they haven’t learned it in school. We should teach more entrepreneurism in the school and stop making our kids less creative by teaching them with standardized tests. That just created standardized people. We need to evolve but we’re still stuck in the past.

Your Turn

Well that was my rants for the day. That felt really good. I’m probably going to do this again.

Get your rant on in the comments below. Do you hate that I wrote this post, hate my site, hate your boss, hate that the work week is so long, are you annoyed by your kids, or a significant other that hides money from you. Whatever it is let it out into the world. Maybe someone can help you if you need it. If you don’t want people to know who you are then by all means get creative with your name.

What won’t be allowed: Any Racism, Sexism, Slurs….you get the pictures, but feel free to use some cursing if need be.

I Don’t Want My Kid To Have It Better Than Me

nobetterlife

As families go through generations, each one wants the next one to have it better than they did.

Families came over from different countries to America so their children could live the American Dream.

But where has that actually gotten us?

It has been instilled in us that you go to college and then graduate and get a job in a big corporation so we are taken care of. But that’s not how life is anymore.

They don’t take care of you, they use you until they realize that you cost too much money and then they get rid of you. You never get the responsibility you need to be fulfilling. Just when you think it is fulfilling, there will always be a wall you hit.

As each generation grows up, there is going to be a different way to live life. It’s up to that generation to figure out their life.

I don’t want my kids to have it better than me, I want them to make their own life. If it means having less than me, so be it. Maybe that’s the best thing for them.

The most important thing for me is that they are doing what makes them happy.

I’m not going to stuff it down their throat that I worked hard so that they could have a better life than me when I grew up. That’s not their decision, they aren’t making me do what I do to make life better for them.

I want them to know that life is what you make of it. It can be better or worse, depending on how you look at it.

I will help my kids with knowledge and I will always be there for them to cheer them on.

But I will not tell them how I had it worse than them or that I worked hard so that they could have it better than I did.

I feel like making their life easier/better could cause them to be lazy, like a lot of people are these days. Especially compared to our ancestors. So just imagine how we’ll be in 10 more generations. Wall-E will end up being prophetic.

We need to break that cycle and help our children to become self sufficient and teach them to use every resource available to them. If they want an answer they’ll need to find it, I won’t tell them but I will tell them how to use their resources.

I want my child end up with a life that’s happy, not with the life that I think is better than mine. I want them to make their life.

What do you think?

How To Get Excited

How to get Excited

In the world these days it’s hard to find something to get excited about.

The economy sucks

You’re broke

You’re probably going to lose your job

There’s just not much to look forward to. But don’t fret, all is not lost. You’re still alive, right?

So what can you look forward to? What can you get excited about?

No, not life. That sucks, remember?

No, not remembering how fortunate you are. You’re not, remember?

So if not those, then what?

The future!

Not the future you’re going to have, that’s bleak, remember?

I’m talking about the future you want, your dreams!

“So come with me, where dreams are born, and time is never planned. Just think of happy things, and your heart will fly on wings, forever, in Never Never Land!”
~Peter Pan

Right now you don’t believe in those dreams, and that’s what’s causing this lack of excitement.

I’m not saying be crazy and start drawing smiley faces everywhere.

Just imagine where you want to be in your future. What is going to make you happy in life? Write that down, and look at it every day.

But just having dreams is going to make your current life even more miserable. What you need to do is write down how you’re going to make your dreams come true.

Step by step

Take a piece of paper and at the top of it write your dream (Just one of them) in big letters. Below that, write down the five steps it’s going to take you to reach that dream. Only five.
Once you get those five, get out another sheet of paper and write out the next five months or weeks, depending on the size of the dream, and separate them by several spaces. So it will look like this:

February

March

April

May

June

Adjust the dates accordingly.

You only need five, any more than that and you won’t get excited.

Now plan out those months or weeks and how you’re going to accomplish each of your five steps. Try and get each step done in one month. If you can’t then measure it out to make them all add up to 5 months

Now you have purpose, now you have hope, now you have excitement.

Your dreams can come true and you’re going to be excited.

So now you can leave Never Never Land and return to your own exciting life.

I can hear you saying “but my dream can’t come true in 5 months.” How do you know? Have you ever tried?

If after planning it out you still feel like you can’t achieve it, scrap it and move on to the next dream.

This is about getting excited, so if you’re worried that dream won’t come true then you don’t need that dream yet.

But I want you to at least try it before you scrap it. You never know the impossible until you attempt it.

Get other people excited by tweeting and Facebook sharing this post.

What excites you? Are you reaching for your dreams?

Let Me Help You Live Your Passion

leapmountain[1]

I was just let go from my full time job. It’s scary but at the same time I know that another window is opening up.

I was holding off on revealing this new part of Financially Poor because I wanted to make sure all of the little details are ironed out like price and such. But now that I was just thrown off of a mountain, I’m going to jump into this head first.

What is it you ask? Hold on a sec. Let me lead up to it so I can give it some suspense.

For the past 2 years I’ve been doing a job that has given me knowledge and skills to do what I love, which is help people.

I’ve also, on the side, been building up a web empire, once again doing what I love. I truly believe that the web is the place to be when it comes to making your passion = your lively hood.

There is no easier, cheaper way with as much reach as the internet. Dreams can be made, and passions can be followed for next to nothing.

What I want to do now is teach you all of the knowledge I’ve soaked up through the years of what it takes to Live Your Passion. Is it easy? Meh, It’s not the most difficult thing in the world and with the knowledge and motivation that I can provide you, it will be even easier.

I want to teach you that you can do what you want and make an income doing it. If I can do it, I know anyone can.

I’m just like you, but I probably had a less likely chance of succeeding. I only have some college experience (because what they were teaching, I didn’t want to learn), I slacked off in high school because I was bored and just wanted to have fun.

I’m not a a regular 9-5 worker like the world wants to be and I don’t think most people should be. It takes away from your short life.

Now with that info you may ask yourself why you should listen to me. Well, because despite not having a college degree, or the best high school GPA, I’m making a living doing what I love. Can you say that?

I want to teach you that you can do it. It’s not impossible like you think. All it takes is a little switch to be turned on in your mind and I can flip that switch for you.

I’m not going to do a long spiel here, so find out more by clicking below. I really hope you do take the leap to Living Your Passion and not put it off until tomorrow because you’ll never succeed with the cycle of putting it off.coachingsales[1]

We Do Not Think About This Enough

Through life we make choices that define us. We make these choices based on our experiences and where we are in life.

If we’re not selfish, we think about how our choices will effect our loved ones. If we are selfish then we’ll think about how the choices affect us.

For 99.9% of the decisions we make in life don’t ever take in the fact that we are going to die.

Now here me out before you say I’m being a downer.

I’m not talking about being scared of death, far from it.

I’m talking about acknowledging that we aren’t here forever and living a fulfilling life is more important than living a life full of things we think we have to do.

The big example I like to bring up is work.

Is it necessary to work a job all day away from your family? You may say yes but is it really?

What is more important, spending time away from your family so that you can buy them a big house with a big TV and a bunch of video games? Or a modest house with more time spent together as a family?

If you remember that one day you won’t be there to make money for your family to have all of the finer things in life, then maybe we can change our attitude about how we make choices.

Set a date when you are going to die. I’m going to die in 50 years, so that’s how long I have to accomplish everything I’ve ever wanted to do.

Am I going to waste 35 of my most fruitful years in a job I don’t want to wake up for?

No!

I can go through life waking up in the morning, having some coffee and maybe reading the paper, head to work, come back home, eat dinner, watch TV, go to sleep.

It is possible to do that. But do you want to look back over your life and wish that you made a different decision in life and changed up your routine everyday?

Habit and routine have an unbelievable power to waste and destroy.

~Henri de Lubac

Is it possible to do that? Is it possible not to work all day? Hell yea.

Is it easy to get to that point? No! But it is possible and it doesn’t take a lifetime to learn.

All it takes is for you to always remember that you won’t be here one day. So what are you doing today to ensure that you have no regrets when you’re on your death bed?

Make life count, you only have one!

Do you think having death on your mind would affect your decisions in life?
