Do What You Want

Un-Clutter Your Life To Become More Productive

Welcome to the first day on the road to doing what you want.

I just want to give you forewarning that these posts may get long because I’m going to give you a massive amount of information. Don’t be scared, just take notes so you can soak up this knowledge at a better pace.

I’m going to tell right now that today’s post may not be for everyone. The main reason I put this in is because I recently did this and I felt a tremendous affect on my mind

The rest of the posts won’t be like this but I had to put it in because of the power I feel that it will have on you.

Now I’m just going to dive straight into the lesson.

Clutter in our lives can be a big drainer of our energy. Think about all of the papers you have or clothes, or even pens. How many pens do you really need?

Try opening a drawer and see if you see a paper clip or some other type of small object just chilling there. If you do then it’s time to un-clutter.

Donate, sell, throw away whatever you haven’t used in the past 3 months and you’re not going to use in the next 3 months.

I did this and I just have so much more energy and I can actually find things now. I recommend doing this once a year. If you haven’t done it before then it is going to be tough the first time, but I promise you that it is going to be well worth it.

If you want to get some tips on organizing and un-cluttering I recommend the site

And if you want help selling you crap then check out Man Vs Debt’s book appropriately called Sell Your Crap. Do you need it? Not really. Like I said in the first post buying stuff just saves you time. You can find all of that information online but you will just have to look for it and if you don’t know what to Google then you’ll probably miss out on that knowledge.

But what also comes with un-cluttering is doing good and write offs. You’ll get to donate some of your items and you’ll also get to write it off, so it’s win win win. They win because they got your stuff you win win because you get to write it off and you’re even more un-cluttered. What could be better than that?

Other than your stuff, your mind also needs to un-clutter. It’s something that can happen everyday.

For instance, I tend to think a lot when I’m trying to go to sleep. I used to just try and fight through it but it would always keep me up for hours more.

To stop all of the thinking I took a simple step of getting up and writing down what I was thinking about. This helps me not worry about forgetting it and I actually expand on what I write so that I don’t go back to bed and continue to think some more. Just let it all out the first time.

This doesn’t just have to apply to bedtime. Anytime you’re thinking about something just whip out pen and paper and let it out. This will help you remember it and you won’t miss any great ideas.

So that’s the end of the first day. So go get un-cluttered and get excited for the next day because I’m going to get you to delve deep into your mind and get your passion out.

The next post will be in a couple of days so you can work on de-cluttering.

Don’t just say you will, go do it now! Or don’t, but I promise you’ll thank me when you do it.

If you do decide to do it (Do it!) then comment below and let me know how it turned out.
