3 Effective Tips to Redeem Frequent Flyers Points

Did you know you can earn frequent flyer points by regularly flying with an airline?

Many people don’t fully understand the flyer points, which is why they end up wasting their earned points. Frequent flyer points or miles are offered by many top airlines around the globe to reward their loyal customers. The more you fly with them, the more points you will earn.

Aside from earning the flyer points, you also need to understand how to make the most of these valuable points. Instead of wasting them on free air tickets, here are some other amazing ways you can spend them!

1.     Upgrade Your Ticket

You can get free air tickets with your flyer points, but it won’t give you a good value. Instead, upgrade your ticket to enjoy a comfortable flying experience. You can purchase a ticket for Economy class and later upgrade it to a First class or a Business class ticket.

Major airlines partner with many domestic airlines. You can go for any of these domestic flights to get a Business class ticket at an extremely low price. Visit PointsBank to easily buy or upgrade an airline ticket.

Choose the most popular routes for this purpose. However, many other travellers with an even higher status may also be looking forward to upgrade their ticket. Unless you redeem your points early, it’ll be quite difficult for you to beat the competition.

2.     Go Shopping

You don’t necessarily need to spend your frequent flyer points on air tickets. You can also enjoy free shopping with these miles or points.

However, you can’t use these points in every shopping mall. First of all, go through the list of partner stores listed on the website of the airline. Whenever you visit any of these stores, you can redeem your points to buy the products that the loyalty program covers.

When you’re out on vacations, you may want to buy a few gifts for your family to surprise them. You can get big discounts on these items by redeeming the frequent flyer points. It’s best to redeem these points during holiday sales when special discounts are offered on many products.

3.     Share Your Points

Many airlines allow their customers to share their frequent flyer miles with other customers. So, you can gift these points to your friends or family members. You can give them a memorable present with flyer miles.

For instance, if any of your friends has recently got married, you can gift them with honeymoon tickets. Or you can surprise your grandparents by sending them airplane tickets so they can meet their family.

If you intend to take a tour during your vacations, get free tickets with frequent flyer miles for your close friend. This will make the trip memorable for you as well as your friend.

To be precise, there are many ways to redeem your frequent flyer points and choosing the best option can be a daunting task. However, the aforementioned tips can help you develop a strategy to use your earned points in the most efficient way.

What Is Your Passion?

In order to do what you want, we need to actually find out what it is that you want to do.

So think deep down what it is that drives you. What is it that you want to do in life?

Just take a moment and write down what you think about the most.

For a long time I got sidetracked with things I wanted to be instead of what I wanted to do. Let me explain that and it might help you.

When I was younger I always wanted to be a lawyer because I loved the thought of arguing why my client is innocent. I loved finding ways around rules and such just so that I could prove I was right.

Then I came to the realization that Lawyers have to read a bunch of boring stuff, so I threw that idea out.

Then I wanted to be an accountant because I was getting good with money….and they pretty good money. But then I realized that it’s pretty boring work….and once again they have to read a lot of boring stuff.

So after that idea was thrown out I was at lunch with a friend and he asked me,

What are you passionate about?

What do you want to do in life?

No one ever seriously asked me that before. It took me back and I thought for a moment and said “I want to help people get their finances together because I know how much life sucks when you’re living paycheck to paycheck.”

Fast forward to today and I’ve started this site to help people get their finances together so that they can have the life they want.

I even changed the direction I’m going in once I realized that people can have the life they want even if they aren’t financially fit.

So try thinking back to a problem you overcame and see if you would like to help other people get past that problem. Your passion will change through time but the general framework will always be there.

Just sit down for 30 minutes to an hour and write out your answers to the questions

What is your passion?

What do you want to do in life?

Try to get rid of all of the distractions so that you can put all of your focus into your answers.

Please do this exercise so that you can help me realize my passion of helping people.

Get Your Website Up And Running Part 1

Now it’s time to get into the technical side.

I’m going to show you that it’s easier than you think to get a website up and running which is how you’ll start making money. This is a little long so in order for you to not get overwhelmed I’m breaking it up into a couple of posts.

This first part is getting a host, getting a name and domain, and then installing WordPress (I’ll explain what that is in a little bit).

In the next post I’ll show you how to make it functional and pretty.

So let’s begin.

The first thing you are going to want to do is think of a name to call it because you’re going to be stuck with it. We’ll you could change it in the future but it’s not the best thing to do.

So brainstorm names that can be your real name, something to do with your passion, or whatever. Don’t get too held up by a name. It doesn’t have to be perfect, and don’t let it be the reason you don’t move forward.

Next, see if it’s available as a domain ( is what a domain name is).

So go to and on the main page it says start your domain search. Type in the name you want and search. It’s going to show you all of the available domains that have that name in it like .com, .net, .org, etc. You’re going to want .com. . Net is ok but .com is better. So if you’re not against adjusting the name to get .com I’d go for a new name and get the .com.

But if you have to have it then get the .net.

I get my domain names from there because it’s pretty cheap and it’s best to have your domain names separate from your website host just to make any transition or change easier.

Once you have a name head on over to and sign up for one of their hosting packages. I’d recommend at least the baby plan so that you can add more domain names in the future to expand your empire. If you use this link and the code FinanciallyPoor you’ll get the first month for 1 penny!

That’s so cheap! There’s no reason not to.

But the awesome thing is that they have really reliable uptime. I’ve had problems with other hosting companies where my sites would go down at least twice a week, That can equal a lot of money. I’ve probably only gone down twice ever since I’ve been using HostGator and they were very responsive and it was only for a few minutes.

I love them so much that I use them for all of my sites.

(I have since switched my sites to a reseller account because they have the ability to set up each site with a different IP address. That is more of an advanced tactic, so I still highly recommend HostGator for beginners and never had a problem with them.)

To get your domain and host to work together, go to your account on NameCheap and select on your domain name you purchased. Then on the left side select Transfer DNS to Webhost. Then type in the 2 name servers that you received in one of your emails from HostGator. Don’t worry, you’ll understand this once you sign up.

Now that you have a domain and hosting plan, it’s time to install WordPress, which is basically the frame of the website.

Think of it like a frame of a car. It’s where you sit and allows you to control the website. A theme, which we’ll get to in the next email, is what makes it look pretty.

So you’ll get an email with the link and login information to your control panel from HostGator. Go there and login in. Once you login, there will be a bunch of links organized on the right side.

Go down to software/services and select quick install. Then on the next page there will be links organized on the left. Go under Blog Software and select WordPress. Then select your site and fill out the required info and then BAM. You have a website now.

So that’s it for now.

Sorry for the long post but I want to give you as much knowledge as possible.
