Money Management

Why You Never Make Time To Start A Budget

Through my early 20’s I never even thought of budgeting. I thought I knew where my money was going. I always wondered why I was running out of money before my next paycheck. I always just assumed that I just wasn’t making enough money. I was right, I wasn’t making enough money to spend the way I was spending money. If I had budgeted my money I would have realized I was making enough money if I curtailed my spending. But I was young and had no reason to fix my financial situation. Through the years I finally figured out why I never made time to budget.

You’re Afraid

Maybe you know deep down inside that you shouldn’t be spending so much money on going out at night or dining out. You enjoy spending your money this way and if you actually knew how much you were spending on these things you would realize you can’t keep it up and survive financially. Don’t be afraid, you have to think about what’s important in your life. Do you want to have fun now and worry about finances later? When do you think later is going to come? Just get your finances straight now and maybe you’ll realize you can cut back on other aspects of your spending and keep up what you like to do. Or maybe you’ll realize setting a budget for what you like to do doesn’t really reduce the value of it to you.

You Don’t Care to Budget

Perhaps you feel like you get by just fine. You have a some money stashed away and you seem to have a little bit of money in your bank account before your paycheck goes in. You feel like budgeting wouldn’t really have an impact on your finances. The truth is you don’t know unless you try. Just try it for a couple of months and I promise you will be surprised. If you could just realize that budgeting will help you free up more money to do things that you like and help you to save more money towards something that you want, you’ll want to budget. Saying you don’t care about budgeting pretty much says you don’t care about your future self and providing for that person.

The only way you’re probably ever going to start caring is if something traumatic happens in your life. When a point comes in your life that you don’t have any money to provide a life for yourself, then you’ll start caring. My point came when I ran out of money and I couldn’t afford a place to stay. I asked my dad to move back in with him and he actually said no. He knew if I moved back in with him my habits wouldn’t change. At the time I was really upset about it. Looking back it was one of the best things to ever happen to me. I had to take control of my own life and get it together. I didn’t have anything to catch me when I fell. With that I started to learn how to budget. It was a slow process but I eventually got my finances together where I could support myself.

I’m very lucky I had a turning point in my life that made me get my finances in order. I think everyone going through life just making it but not really doing anything to better their finances needs a point of do or die (not literally die) so they realize what they can do with their life. They could do so much more if they just took control of their finances.

Did you have a point in your life that caused you to have to look at your finances?

Getting Your Car Loan Refinanced Can Be A Great Option For You

If you are struggling with your car loan, and you think that it will not be possible for you to repay the loan on time, one of the best things that you can do is to get the loan refinanced. Refinancing a car loan often seems to be appealing, and there are many people in the recent years that go for this option. If you want, you can also go for the same. However, prior to finalizing your decision, it is crucial to acquire adequate information on refinancing so that you can be aware whether it is a suitable option for you. (Donate your junk cars in charity to hospitals like HospitalCars.ca to avail tax benefits, save lives, and a helping hand in community service).

Getting The Benefits Of Lower Interest Rate:

One of the most important benefits that you will get by refinancing your car loan is lower interest rate.  If you have a bad credit or no credit, you can check out the rates that you will have to pay on refinancing. This in turn might help you in improving your credit score over the years by means of which you will be able to get lower interest on refinancing. Consequently, you can be assured that it will be easy for you to repay your loans faster and get relief from your burden.

Getting More Money On Refinancing:

If you owe less than the total amount of your car loan, ApprovalBuddy says it might be possible for you to access more money with the help of refinancing. As you know that the interest will be lower, things will be easier for you. The loan that you obtain will also enable you to cater to other small requirements like home improvement. Make sure that you the loan that you obtain on refinancing is repaid on time. This will surely create a great impact on your overall credit score.

Flexibility Of Changing Lenders:

When it comes to refinancing, you have the flexibility to change lenders. If you do not have good relation with your current lender, or if it is difficult to get in touch with your lender, you can avail the option of changing lender and switching on to someone that is flexible. However, if you are comfortable with your current lender, you can get your loan refinanced from the same. Thus, it is rightly up to you to decide the lender from where you will get your personal installment loans refinances. On the basis of that, you can enjoy the benefits and advantages.

Lowering Your Payments:

Refinancing loan means extending the term period of the loan in order to enjoy some benefits. For instance, if the current loan term is two years, you can extend it for four years, or more. Thus, if you add few more years to your current loan term, it will be possible for you to reduce your monthly expenses based on the interest rate that you have to handle. It is true that you will be paying for two more years, but you will at least be able to reduce your expenses each month. Consequently, it can be helpful for you in your tough times.

Get Your Website Up And Running Part 1

Now it’s time to get into the technical side.

I’m going to show you that it’s easier than you think to get a website up and running which is how you’ll start making money. This is a little long so in order for you to not get overwhelmed I’m breaking it up into a couple of posts.

This first part is getting a host, getting a name and domain, and then installing WordPress (I’ll explain what that is in a little bit).

In the next post I’ll show you how to make it functional and pretty.

So let’s begin.

The first thing you are going to want to do is think of a name to call it because you’re going to be stuck with it. We’ll you could change it in the future but it’s not the best thing to do.

So brainstorm names that can be your real name, something to do with your passion, or whatever. Don’t get too held up by a name. It doesn’t have to be perfect, and don’t let it be the reason you don’t move forward.

Next, see if it’s available as a domain (www.xxxxxxx.com is what a domain name is).

So go to Namecheap.com and on the main page it says start your domain search. Type in the name you want and search. It’s going to show you all of the available domains that have that name in it like .com, .net, .org, etc. You’re going to want .com. . Net is ok but .com is better. So if you’re not against adjusting the name to get .com I’d go for a new name and get the .com.

But if you have to have it then get the .net.

I get my domain names from there because it’s pretty cheap and it’s best to have your domain names separate from your website host just to make any transition or change easier.

Once you have a name head on over to HostGator.com and sign up for one of their hosting packages. I’d recommend at least the baby plan so that you can add more domain names in the future to expand your empire. If you use this link http://www.financiallypoor.com/go/HostGator/ and the code FinanciallyPoor you’ll get the first month for 1 penny!

That’s so cheap! There’s no reason not to.

But the awesome thing is that they have really reliable uptime. I’ve had problems with other hosting companies where my sites would go down at least twice a week, That can equal a lot of money. I’ve probably only gone down twice ever since I’ve been using HostGator and they were very responsive and it was only for a few minutes.

I love them so much that I use them for all of my sites.

(I have since switched my sites to a hostnine.com reseller account because they have the ability to set up each site with a different IP address. That is more of an advanced tactic, so I still highly recommend HostGator for beginners and never had a problem with them.)

To get your domain and host to work together, go to your account on NameCheap and select on your domain name you purchased. Then on the left side select Transfer DNS to Webhost. Then type in the 2 name servers that you received in one of your emails from HostGator. Don’t worry, you’ll understand this once you sign up.

Now that you have a domain and hosting plan, it’s time to install WordPress, which is basically the frame of the website.

Think of it like a frame of a car. It’s where you sit and allows you to control the website. A theme, which we’ll get to in the next email, is what makes it look pretty.

So you’ll get an email with the link and login information to your control panel from HostGator. Go there and login in. Once you login, there will be a bunch of links organized on the right side.

Go down to software/services and select quick install. Then on the next page there will be links organized on the left. Go under Blog Software and select WordPress. Then select your site and fill out the required info and then BAM. You have a website now.

So that’s it for now.

Sorry for the long post but I want to give you as much knowledge as possible.

Happy Valentines Day But Are You In Love?

passionfire

It’s that time of year where we show the one we love with flowers, candy, and if they’re lucky, jewelry.

But I’m going to talk about loving a state of mind today.

Do you love your life?

Does it treat you good and do you smile whenever you think about it?

I do, because for the first time in my life, I’m truly happy with everything.

I have a beautiful, supporting, loving fiancé and I love what I do.

I’m doing something that feels right. I help people, spread dreams and knowledge, and I love every minute of it.

I can’t imagine doing anything else. This is my calling and I’m not going to let anyone tell me I should get a “Real Job”.

I talked about why I don’t want my child to have a better life and one of the reasons I said all of that is because we are always told to go to college and get a job. Apparently that’s the only way to be successful.

I think it’s harder to be successful that way because you end up living in a world that isn’t yours. You are in someone else’s world, with their rules, and you make someone else money so that they can live out their passion.

What about your passion?

When are you going to get to live it? When you retire?

That seems like  lot of wasted life.

Do yourself a favor and truly discover your passion and live life to the fullest.

Do What You Want!

Truly love your life and treat it like it deserves to be treated.

Live it to it’s fullest everyday because one day it won’t be there to love.

Remember this Valentines Day to Love Your Life and Live Your Passion!
